September 10 - 25 2010 : Connecting La Havana is a long-term project which aims to open a platform for media and video in La Habana, involving local art institutions, artists and independent collectives of producers.

Alamar Workshops: Omni Zonafranca and Garaje 19

 

Lectures, presentations, visits to local artists and several meetings took place within the two weeks, in different places of the city, while the two main workshops and production lab took place in Alamar.

 

Together with the new Omni Zonafranca and Garaje 19, Time Frame team worked in Alamar with independent artists as producers

Guest professor, Raul Ferrera Balanquet 

René Francisco and the IV Pragmatica

 

Connecting La Habana had the opportunity and the pleasure to invite as participant artist and guest professor Raul Ferrera Balanquet, Cuban independent film maker, video artist, and writer based in Mexico.

 

Time Frame also worked with international renowned conceptual artist Rene Francisco, who since the end of the Eighties has been using institutional spaces of Contemporary art as tool of intervention.

Raydel Araoz 

Fidel Garcia

 

Raydel participated to the production workshop with Omni Zonafranca and produced his short video Canto al Santisimo as final result of the workshop.

 

Formerly known with the nick name of Micro X and T10, Fidel Gracia is one of the most remarkable artist of this last generations, which works on social issues and intervention in public spaces conceptually using old and new technologies.
