Het Artist in Residence (AiR)-programma van het Nederlands Instituut voor de Mediakunst ondersteunt het onderzoek en ontwikkeling van nieuw werk binnen een digitale/interactieve/genetwerkte, op media en technologie gebaseerde kunstenaarspraktijk. Het verblijf biedt kunstenaars tijd en middelen in een ondersteunende omgeving en faciliteert de totstandkoming van nieuw werk, dat wordt geproduceerd vanuit een open source-perspectief. We stimuleren een interdisciplinaire en experimentele aanpak.
