Artist in Residence March 2004 - November 2005

The development of the digital video Syncstarter was completed in 2005. The Open Source software which came from it, IvySync, has captured the attention of both the artistic and scientific communities. IvySync has been used in various video installations by Erwin Olaf (NIMk, MuseumN8), Peter Bogers (Rotterdam, Schouwburgplein) and others. During the use the software was further developed and now has advanced applications such as time-based scheduling and the possibility of operating the play list from a distance. The mediatheque has also been equipped with an adapted version of IvySync. Within the local network of the Netherlands Media Art Institute visitors to the mediatheque can watch streamed video works from the collection direct from the server.
