The Yes Lab is a series of brainstorms and trainings to help a selected group of cultural and social sector professionals, artists and activists to develop and carry out media attracting creative action affecting public debate and pushing for legislation. As there is strictly limited capacity, please send your application (CV and motivation) as soon as possible to: krystian@tf.nl.

Yes Lab has been made possible thanks to collaboration between the following institutions: Amsterdam Fringe Festival, the Nederlands Theater Festival, SKOR | Foundation for Art and Public Domain , NIMk (Netherlands Media Art Institute), Partizan Publik.

The creative activism duo, a pair of notorious troublemakers The Yes Men (Andy Bichlbaum and Mike Bonanno; New York) targets leaders andbig corporations who put profits ahead of everything else in order to publicly humiliate them, a practice that they call identity correction. The Yes Men sneak into corporate events disguised as captains of industry, and then use their momentary authority to expose the biggest criminals on the planet. The duo achieved worldwide fame with their documentaries The Yes Men (2003) and The Yes Men Fix the World (2009). Their creative interventions always get a broad media attention. For example, 2004 The Yes Men appeared on BBC World as a spokesman of Dow Chemical – the company responsible for the chemical disaster in Bhopal (India) that killed thousands and left over 120,000 requiring lifelong care – announcing that they had no intention whatsoever of repairing the damage. The real company received considerable backlash that forced them to undertake real actions to solve the issues.
