In 'Stardust' Nicolas Provost takes his hidden camera to Las Vegas. The artist uses the glorious and ambiguous power of the gambling capital to turn everyday life into an exciting crime story, with the Sin City's visitors and inhabitants as unsuspecting protagonists and background actors. A few real Hollywood stars such as Jon Voight, Dennis Hopper and Jack Nicholson make a cameo appearance.

In his experimental and narrative video works, Nicolas Provost investigates and manipulates the language and conventions of film. His condensed pieces are intense and poetic evocations of the cinematic experience. Provost analyzes and plays with film genres, editing techniques, sound and plot, always keeping emotions and beauty central to the experience.

Stardust won the Tiger Award for shortfilm at this years Rotterdam Filmfestival
