The Media City

TIME FRAME has traveled to Latin America and Africa in order to identify possibilities of collaboration with artists, curators and art institutions within the context of the project.

The Media City was a specialized project development workshop for urban projections, taking place in Amsterdam. From March 22 to April 3, eight international artists from Sao Paulo, Lima, Durban, Douala and the Netherlands were given the opportunity to explore the possibilities of visual programming interfaces for urban facades, and develop their own site specific concept.

Connecting La Havana

5-19 July, Durban South Africa — The South African creative collective has invited TIME_FRAME_NIMk to take part in a laboratory to explore the impact of the 2010 World Cup on South African cities from people-centred perspective. The popular media generally only documents large-scale international events from a particular perspective.

Connecting La Havana is a long-term project which aims to open a platform for media and video in La Habana, involving local art institutions, artists and independent collectives of producers. The first step of the platform was the two weeks visit and organization of workshops on video making, which took place in September 2010.
