In the beautiful garden of the Goethe-Institut we will screen five video works by Nan Hoover (1931-2008), one of the most important pioneers of video and performance art. Pervaded by by subtle, ongoing movements of light and form, Hoover’s video tapes often explore the visual ambiguity between body and landscape, or abstract and 'natural' forms.

Michel Banabila (born 1961), sound artist, composer and producer from Amsterdam, will present a live soundtrack. Banabila has produced musical scores for numerous films, documentaries, theatre plays and choreographies and was awarded with the Edison Jazz Award in 2003.

DJ Conky Daglish (Rush Hour) will be spinning quality electronics before and after the show.

Half Sleep ( 1984, 12'00”)
Returning to Fuji (1984, 8'33”)
La Luna ( 2002, 10'25”)
