Emilie Grenier and Duncan Speakman are developing a new sonic artwork that will use mobile technologies to connect strangers intimately in public spaces.

Émilie Grenier’s practice includes working with wearable open source technologies for audio experiences to challenge users’ assumptions about their surroundings. Duncan Speakman has earned an international reputation for a number of works that physically and emotionally engage audiences in public spaces.

Both artists have previously collaborated on the creation of Duncan’s subtlemob platform and look forward to opening their practice to different European contexts.

Duncan and Émilie will develop and produce their project until May 2011.
