On October 25, 2009, Miguel Petchkovsky and Heiner Holtapples met Dr, Manuel Veiga, Ministry of Culture of Cabo Verde, and the multimedia artist Mito Elias, in order to discuss the implementation of the project Tchuba_ NA Vulcão in Cabo Verde, within the context of TIME FRAME.

The meeting took place in the Cultural Centre Cape Verde in Rotterdam. It seems that this project comes at an excellent time because Cape Verde needs to develop strategies and methodologies to promote audiovisual creative practices in order to provide sustainable training to new generations of artists in the field of media and digital art.
It was also discussed the possibility of building an archive that hosts and promotes those audiovisual works based on the rich Cape Verde oral literature, where the traditional heritage meets the contemporary culture, benefiting future generations and reaching international audiences.

Dr. Manuel Veiga seems to be very fond of the project and is considering to include it in the program for the celebration of the independence of Cabo Verde next summer 2010.
